Bedford City Schools welcomes Mr. Christopher May as the new Security Coordinator for the district. He also will serve as the armed security officer at Heskett Middle School. Mr. May will work in partnership with the local police department in development and coordinating our annual safety plans for the district.
Mr. May comes to the Bedford City Schools with decades of experience in law enforcement. “While at our school, his main focus will be to interact with the students in a positive way as he works to build relationships with our students and staff,” said Superintendent Dr. Andrea Celico. “His job description includes his role as a counselor, liaison, teacher and role model. He will be visible in our hallways, classrooms, and cafeterias.”
Faith Gordon, a social worker at Bedford High School and Heskett Middle School, was spotlighted in a news feature on Spectrum News 1. They also did a story about our Community Resource Room at Bedford High School. Both stories can be found here. Just scroll down to find the second one.
