  • Bedford City Schools Welcomes New Security Coordinator

    Chris MayBedford City Schools welcomes Mr. Christopher May as the new Security Coordinator for the district.   He also will serve as the armed security officer at Heskett Middle School.  Mr. May will work in partnership with the local police department in development and coordinating our annual safety plans for the district.  

    Mr. May comes to the Bedford City Schools with decades of experience in law enforcement.   “While at our school, his main focus will be to interact with the students in a positive way as he works to build relationships with our students and staff,” said Superintendent Dr. Andrea Celico.  “His job description includes his role as a counselor, liaison, teacher and role model. He will be visible in our hallways, classrooms, and cafeterias.”

  • BCSD Superintendent Andrea Celico recently was a panelist in part two of a 2-part REAL TALK education series sponsored by the League of Women Voters called Equity and Anti-Racism in Ohio Schools: Building the Principles, Policies, Programs, and Practices for ALL of Ohio’s Children.     Please see the attached document that provides you with important information on expectations and dress code for our K-8 students. You can also view it on our district's website and facebook page. Please be sure to read it thoroughly and if you have any questions, please contact your child's principal. We are looking forward to the return of our students on February 1! Thank you.
