Career Technical Education (CTE) offers a strong academic and technical education to prepare students for college and careers. Locally, Heights Career Tech offers courses through a five-district consortium, including Bedford, Cleveland Heights, Maple Heights, Shaker Heights, and Warrensville Heights High Schools.

As a CTE student, you have all rights and privileges of your home school.

Students continue to participate in their high school activities, clubs, athletics, etc.

Students take their core classes at their high school for about half of the school day.

Students spend the other half of their school day at the site of their CTE program.

Typically, juniors spend the morning at their CTE programs and take their core classes in the afternoon, while seniors take CTE classes in the afternoon.

Students in CTE can also earn articulated college credit (Tech Prep) or direct college credit through the College Transfer Assurance Guides(CTAG) affiliated with all Ohio Public Colleges/Universities.

Students in CTE may also have time to take part in College Credit Plus (CCP) coursework.

Transportation is provided to and from all CTE school sites.

Most programs require a two-year commitment (Bio-Technology is the only exception)
