2021-2022 HEIGHTS CONSORTIUM APPLICATION IS LIVE!!!

THE HEIGHTS CAREER TECH CONSORTIUM APPLICATION IS LIVE! 

Students interested in becoming a part of the Heights Consortium family should complete the application by visiting our website https://heightscareertech.com/ Go to the APPLY  located on the top right corner of the screen and complete the application.  

 

Career Technical Education (CTE) offers a strong academic and technical education to prepare students for college and careers. Locally, Heights Career Tech offers courses through a five-district consortium, including Bedford, Cleveland Heights, Maple Heights, Shaker Heights, and Warrensville Heights High Schools.

  • As a CTE student, you have all rights and privileges of your home school.

  • Students continue to participate in their high school activities, clubs, athletics, etc.

  • Students take their core classes at their high school for about half of the school day.

  • Students spend the other half of their school day at the site of their CTE program.

  • Typically, juniors spend the morning at their CTE programs and take their core classes in the afternoon, while seniors take CTE classes in the afternoon.

  • Students in CTE can also earn articulated college credit (Tech Prep) or direct college credit through the  College Transfer Assurance Guides(CTAG) affiliated with all Ohio Public Colleges/Universities. 

  • Students in CTE may also have time to take part in College Credit Plus (CCP) coursework.

  • Transportation is provided to and from all CTE school sites.

  • Most programs require a two-year commitment (Bio-Technology is the only exception)
