Twenty-one Bedford High School students joined students from Warrensville Heights High and Brush High (South Euclid-Lyndhurst) on January 28th for a workshop on public speaking, sponsored by the Educational Service Center (ESC) of Northeast Ohio. At the workshop students learned strategies to enhance their public speaking skills, including how to include the audience in their presentations; using humor & personal experience to connect to the audience; navigating the speaking space to keep the audience engaged; using inflection in their voices; and overcoming stage fright.
