What's Happening?

Student at desk on laptop Last week, students K-3 at Glendale Primary took part in a GLOBAL event called Hour of Code where students all over the world were introduced to coding in technology class.  Students were learning how to program an object on their computer.  They were given instructions for the challenge and then were to figure out which code to use to command it to move in the correct direction to solve the problem.  The students are enjoying the challenge and are learning patience as they sometimes get it wrong and have to figure out where they programmed incorrectly to fix it for success.  Side note: There are many jobs that go unfilled because we do not have enough coders in the world!  Students are encouraged to go to code.org and practice on their own at home or in the library.
