Join In the Fun on April 28th at Bedford High School

Mark your calendars for April 28, 2019, which is “Sunday FunDay” in the Bedford City School District. Plan to spend the morning at BHS with neighbors, friends, and family. Compete in a 5k race or enjoy a more leisurely 2-mile walk, feast on a delicious pancake and French toast breakfast, and enjoy a myriad of marvelous student artworks at the District Art Show. All activities are open to the public.

Bedford Schools Foundation Run/Walk

The day begins with the 26th Annual Bedford Automile Run/Walk sponsored by the Bedford Schools Foundation. Registration begins at 7 a.m., and the race starts at 9 a.m. Participants can choose from a 5k race or a 2-mile walk. Pre-registration is $25 (postmarked by April 24th) Race day registration is $30. Age12 and under is $15, and all participants under 12 receive a medal. Registrants will receive a moisture management t-shirt, while supplies last, and a free all-you-can-eat pancake/French toast breakfast (valued at $8) in the cafeteria. Proceeds go toward scholarships for Bedford High School graduating seniors, teacher mini-grants, and other educational programs benefitting students. Bedford Rotary Club Pancake/French Toast Breakfast

The Bedford Rotary Club will sponsor its 42nd Annual All-You-Can-Eat Pancake and French Toast Breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bedford High School cafeteria. Adult tickets (ages 13 and up) are $8; children (ages 6-12) are $3; children five and under are free. Tickets are available at the door. Guests can also enter a raffle to win a 24” Smart TV and four tickets to both Akron Rubber Ducks and Lake County Captains games. An Evening at Playhouse Square and many gift baskets will also be prizes. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Ticketholders need not be present to win.

Bedford City School District Art Show

The annual District Art Show will be set up in the high school gymnasium from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. More than 3,500 student works of art from Bedford students in grades preschool through 12 will be on display, including paintings, drawings, hand-crafted jewelry, clay projects, masks and more. Admission is free.
