Dr. Celico was named Superintendent in August 2015. She has experience in education at both the elementary and secondary levels. She began her career as a teacher in the Euclid City Schools. Dr. Celico also served as an Assistant Principal, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent during her 17-year tenure with Euclid. Prior to being appointed the Superintendent of Bedford City Schools, she served as the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District. Dr. Celico earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at John Carroll University and her Master of Education Degree in Educational Administration from Cleveland State University. In 2008, she had the distinct honor of earning her Doctor of Philosophy in Urban Education from Cleveland State University. Dr. Celico has held leadership positions in numerous local and state organizations, which include Ohio Association for School Personnel Administrators (OASPA), Cleveland Area Minority Educators Recruitment Association (CAMERA), and Northeast Ohio Association for School Personnel Administrators (NEOASPA). She is currently a member of the Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA), Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), First Ring Superintendents’ Collaborative, Southeast Region Chamber of Commerce and Bedford Rotary Club. She also serves as the Executive Director of the Bedford City Schools Foundation. Dr. Celico is a published author of several articles and has presented at numerous educational conferences. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Cleveland State University.
