Athletics

A Cleveland Heights native, James graduated from St. Edward High School in 2012 before beginning his collegiate basketball career at Marietta College. He later transferred to John Carroll University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 2017. He went on to earn a Master of Athletic Administration from Ohio University in 2020.

James began his professional career at Saint Martin de Porres High School in 2017. He was named Assistant Athletic Director in 2019 before becoming the school's Athletic Director in 2021. In addition, he served as the Freshman Boys Basketball Coach at St. Edward High School from 2014–2020.

Throughout his career, James has demonstrated a commitment to developing student-athletes, supporting coaches, and fostering athletic programs that emphasize character, accountability, and competitive excellence.
