About BCSD

The Bedford City School District serves approximately 30,000 residents across the communities of Bedford, Bedford Heights, Oakwood Village, and Walton Hills Village, with nearly 3,000 students enrolled.

Our commitment to academic excellence spans from our gold-rated preschool to career technical education programs, alongside College Credit Plus offerings. To ensure all students thrive, we implement initiatives like the science of reading and partner with Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) to enhance college and career readiness.

We are currently finalizing a comprehensive needs assessment to guide our Three-Year plans, with a focus on tracking progress and addressing key priorities. Recognizing the importance of holistic education, we support our students through Social Emotional Learning teams and a range of extracurricular activities in music, arts, and sports.

Furthermore, we actively engage with our communities through partnerships that foster senior citizen events and cultural programs. Our dedication to education extends beyond academics; we believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped for success in life. Together, our dedicated administrators, staff, students, and community collaborators work tirelessly to create an enriching environment for all learners.
