Volunteering on MLK Day of Service is a great way to engage with your community while honoring the legacy of Dr. King. Whether you plan on cleaning up a public space, mentoring a young person, or assisting those who are food insecure, what you do makes a world of difference. It is also a great opportunity to gain some community service hours for graduation!
Did you know that today is Giving Tuesday, an international day of donating time and money to important causes? People from over 100 countries participate in this annual day of giving, including the students in Service Learning Seminar at the high school. Our students spent time today reading some of their favorite children's books and recording it for the younger students in our district so they can listen and even follow along with their own copies of the books. What a great way for our students to give back to their community!
