Mrs. Joyce taught her fifth grade students about biotic and abiotic factors, ecosystems and how the ecosystems are affected by pollution. In this image, you will see the water ecosystem with both biotic and abiotic factors. She demonstrated the effects that were evident from the "oil" from the boat that polluted the ecosystem when the boat flipped over.
Sixth Grade Teacher, Mrs. Johnson, teachers her students Math and Science through virtual lessons. The Columbus Teachers have had to adapt their lessons to virtual lessons as they are teaching remote for the first quarter.

Mrs. Maggie Joyce has been teaching her 5th grade students about the Scientific Method. She is modeling how constants and variables affect Science experiments. In this experiment, Mrs. Joyce used the variables of vinegar baking soda and the cosntants of the same water bottles, smake amount of the variable ingredients and balloons. The balloon ended up blowing up with the vinegar, but not the baking soda.
