Robert C. Kennedy, Board Member
Mr. Kennedy was elected to the Board in 2017. He is currently the Production Scheduler/Inventory Manager at Clifton Steel in Maple Heights, Ohio. Since joining Clifton Steel in 2009, he has worked his way up the ranks to his current position, in which he is responsible for scheduling all jobs/sales orders, ensuring the shipments are on time, and maintaining the accuracy of over $8 million in inventory. Mr. Kennedy currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Bedford City Schools Foundation. He was involved with the Bedford City Schools’ PTAs for over eight years, holding the positions of President, Vice President, and Council Delegate. He also had served as the Vice President of the Bedford Council of PTA for two years. Additionally, he has been an active member in the community, coaching more than 500 youngsters in baseball, basketball, softball, and soccer for the Bedford Recreation Department. Mr. Kennedy was instrumental, both as a coach and coordinator, in the success of the Little Bearcats Football & Cheerleading organization, which is comprised of more than 100 children from the Bedford City School District. Under his leadership, membership had increased from 39 players his second year to more than 130 players by his fourth year, winning one championship along the way. In his free time, Mr. Kennedy enjoys coaching girls fast pitch softball and giving individual hitting and catching lessons. A 1988 Chanel graduate, Mr. Kennedy attended Bowling Green State University on a baseball scholarship, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. He and his wife, Karen, live in Bedford and are proud parents of a 2017 Bedford High School graduate, Kathryn, and a son, Collin, who is a junior at Bedford High School. Mr. Kennedy’s term expires December 31, 2021.
