A Seal of Biliteracy recognizes graduating seniors who can demonstrate high levels of proficiency in English and at least one other language. A school or district gives this award by following state-established guidelines.

District Announcements

  • The Bedford Board of Education will vote on Sept. 19th to make two changes to the current school calendar. They wanted to notify parents of these changes in advance so they can make arrangements for daycare if necessary. It is being proposed that the district add another staff professional development day on Monday, Oct. 14, which would make that a four-day weekend for students, as Friday, Oct. 11 is NEOEA Day. This added PD Day would result in all certified staff members becoming Google Certified Educators, which will benefit both teachers and students in light of the additional 1:1 technology being rolled out in the schools. The second adjustment is due to the change in the Ohio Primary Election Day from March 3 to March 17, so the district is seeking to move the PD day scheduled for March 3 to March 17 as well.
