BHS Athlete Signs Letter of Intent for Ohio Dominican

Donel Clayton has signed a letter of intent to play football at Ohio Dominican in Columbus, OH. Donel stands at five feet-eleven inches and weighs 165 pounds. The 3-yr.Varsity starter was captain of the Junior Varsity squad his sophomore year and captain of the Varsity team his senior year. His record includes 11 pass deflections, two interceptions, and 15 tackles.

 

He was named Most Valuable Player for cornerbacks at the National Underclassmen Combine in 2011."Donel will be a great addition to the OD program," said Bearcat Head Football Coach Sean Williams. He has a lot to offer and it is a good match for both Donel and OD."

 

At Bedford High School, Donel carries a 3.07 Grade Point Average and is enrolled in the Marketing Program. He is a member of the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), an organization that prepares emerging high school leaders for the fields of marketing, finance, hospitality and management. He also serves as a mentor for UBr3. This program provides additional support to at-risk 7th and 8th grade students at Heskett Middle School.

 

At Old Dominion, Donel plans to study accounting. "The football program is a really great program and the accounting program is a great program, and I'm looking forward to being at OD," said Donel.

 

He is the son of Eddie and Dana Clayton of Oakwood Village.
