Enjoy Sunday, April 22nd at Bedford High School
Make your plans now for Sunday, April 22nd, 2012 for a brisk run and lots of fun at the annual Bedford Foundation Run/Walk, Bedford Rotary pancake and French toast breakfast, and Bedford Schools’ Health Fair. All events take place at Bedford High School, 481 Northfield Road in Bedford.
Bedford Schools Foundation Run/Walk
The day begins with the 22nd annual Bedford 5-Mile Run/2-mile Walk sponsored by the Bedford City Schools’ Foundation. Runners take their mark at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is $20 (postmarked by April 18) or $23 on race day (ages 12 and under is $12). Registration begins at 7 a.m. All registrants will receive a “moisture management” t-shirt, a “goody” bag, and a free “all you can eat” breakfast ($6 value) in the cafeteria. Event co-sponsors are the Bedford Auto Mile, University Hospitals Bedford Medical Center, Ben Venue Laboratories, and Road ID. Bedford Rotary Club Pancake/French Toast Breakfast
The Bedford Rotary Club will sponsor an all-you-can-eat pancake and French toast breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Cost is free for children ages 5 and under; $3 for children ages 6-12; and $6 for ages 13 and over. Tickets are available at the door.
Bedford Schools Health Fair
A Health Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to noon in the cafeteria. Sponsored by the Bedford Schools’ Health and Physical Education instructors, the Health Fair will feature a variety of exhibits and activities aimed at health, wellness, and physical fitness. Representatives from area health, dental, and fitness organizations will participate. Admission is free.
All activities are open to the public.
Directions to Bedford High School: From downtown, take I-77 south to I-480 East. Exit at Northfield Road. Turn right onto Northfield. Bedford High is approximately two miles down Northfield, on the left-hand side, just beyond the intersection of Northfield and Rockside roads.
