Bedford City Schools will offer summer school for students in grades 7-12 at Bedford High School.  The program is open only to students who reside within the school district.

This year’s program runs from Thursday, June 15 through Friday, July 14, 2017. There is no school on Tuesday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.  Orientation will be on June 15th, and all students must attend in dress code. Parents are also welcome to attend orientation. There will be two summer school sessions, one from 8-10 a.m., and the other from 10:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Students taking two courses from two different subject areas may be required to attend both sessions.

Summer school is a Blended Learning Model, allowing students to learn via an online program, as well as in an assigned class with a teacher. This model allows students to work on assignments online at any time. The classroom time allows students to ask questions, get teacher support, work in groups, or independently complete required assignments.

In-person registration will be Saturday, June 10th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bedford High School auditorium. The cost for summer school is $150 for the first course and $100 for the second course. There is a two-course maximum. All summer school fees are due at registration.

Transportation for summer school will not be provided. All students are required to be in dress code, including Orientation Day. Parents will be invited to an open house on Wednesday, July 5th.  For more information on Bedford Schools’ Summer School Program, contact Kevin Gibaldi, Summer School Principal, at 440-439-4485.
